Education is a critical component to ending generational poverty and ensuring upward mobility. All students deserve access to quality education and a safe learning environment.
I look forward to working with the school board to provide resources for our students and educators and further strengthening the Board’s relationship with Wake Tech. By extension, I am eager to work with and support small businesses, create opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive, and workforce development. Education and workforce development are inextricably tied together.
Early Childhood Education
Recognizing the critical importance of early learning, I will expand access to high-quality preschool programs and advocate for a comprehensive early childhood education system. This will set our youngest residents on a path to excellence from an early age.
Access to High-Speed Internet
Bridging the digital divide is crucial for equitable access to education and economic opportunities. I will continue to work with internet service providers and explore public-private partnerships to expand high-speed internet access to underserved areas and vulnerable populations.
Career and Technical Education
Expanding opportunities for career, technical education, and workforce reskilling. By partnering with industry leaders, I will work to ensure that our workforce programs align with local job market demands, offering pathways to sustainable and rewarding careers.
